OUR MINISASS ACTIVITY

STEP 1: (2 HOURS) We had a meeting with our students in the conference room of our school before starting MiniSASS activity according to the directions. We talked about what to do at this step of the project. We did brainstorming about the threats and challenges that our freshwater resources on Earth have been facing. We discussed the factors that caused our water resources to deteriorate. We focused on what pollution sources affected our local water supply. We focused on the quality of water resources. It was told that this activity would be done three times a year and that students from different groups would be active at each stage. Volunteer students who will participate in the activity for the following day were identified. The list of materials needed for this event was given to the students.

STEP 2: (2 HOURS) We went to the pre-determined area to do our activity. (Coordinates of the Region: 36.886753.30.612046 - Antalya Konyaaltı Bahtılı Mahallesi Göksu Stream) We collected samples by distributing the tasks.

STEP 3 (30 min.) We brought these samples to our school due the cold weather conditions and we classified them with the help of sample cards. We calculated sensitivity scores according to the groups.
